November
I love the micro-seasons here on the New England seacoast. November has its own distinct look --- as the plant life fades and starts to decay it takes on messy textures and muted colors. Nature's making a last gasp before winter. Mums linger in their pots on stoops until the bitter end. Leftover Halloween pumpkins have the visage of comedy or tragedy, depending on your point of view. The subtle color juxtapositions are mesmerizing.
Enjoy your November!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely perfect description of November! Love your photos. We were under a tornado warning last night as thunderstorms ripped through Georgia. It was fascinating. Now, the pecan trees look naked and acorns are falling onto the tin roof sounding like gun shots - The sky is brilliantly blue - a chill is coming back to our area - LOVE this time of the year!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed my visit to your blog!

OH these are lovely! I especially like the one with the dark blue door with the berries hanging from the doorknob. I can easily see that printed and hung up in a hallway :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Reminds me of Maine and also how much New England and Old England are alike!
